Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing essential preventive maintenance and repair of building plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including refrigeration, and A/C units. Activities may include changing filters, cleaning heating and cooling coils, cleaning floor drains, changing light bulbs, painting, drywall, basic carpentry, performing preventive maintenance activities on equipment, assembling and disassembling systems furniture, and removing and installing signs. Performs repairs on walls, carpets, and windows. Maintains compliance with inventory and tracking policies and procedures, maintains compliance with work order system, and indicates the status of all repair and maintenance work. Ensures adherence to safety regulations and standards.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.66
Shift: 1st Shift 6-2:30pm (Sunday-Monday Off)
Job Type: Full-time, in-person
Essential Functions:
- Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities
- Diagnose equipment issues & assist in the diagnosis of process-related problems through collaborative teamwork
- Train other maintenance personnel on mechanical systems and personal areas of expertise
- Change of all filters for HVAC as required
- Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed
- Available for an assigned emergency on-call schedule
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
- Assists outside service personnel, inspectors and vendors
- Keeps workspace neat, clean and free of clutter
- Understand and comply with OSHA, Safety and PPE requirements
- Use computer-based CMMS system to create and closeout work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used
- Carry a company radio/cell phone for coverage and site-wide communication
- Must be able to work flexible hours
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have at least 1-2 year's experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, with an emphasis in plumbing and carpentry maintenance or any combination.
- Experience performing Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) on equipment
- Professional Painting experience is a plus
- Commercial Carpentry experience is a plus

Requirements
- Physical ability to push/lift 75 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
- Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection
- Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints
- Must be able to pass a Federal Aviation Administration background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
Working Conditions:
Position requires prolonged standing, walking on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination in using a computer keyboard and certain tools. The position also requires near and far vision when performing tasks such as inspections and repair work, in reading written work-related documents and using a computer. Acute hearing is required when providing phone and personal customer service. The need to lift, drag, carry and push equipment, tools and supplies up to 75 pounds is also required. Additionally, the incumbent may be exposed to mechanical and electrical hazards, loud noise, and inclement weather conditions, such as wet, heat and cold. The nature of the work also requires the incumbent to climb ladders.
