Truck Driver

Position Summary: Biscuitville is a quick-service restaurant with 86 locations in NC, SC and VA. No overnight travel ! The position is full-time and includes loading, delivering, and unloading. This is a fast-paced position, delivering and unloading trucks while adhering to a tight delivery schedule.

• Deliver the right products to customer accounts, in a professional, safe and timely manner, using a multitude of methods including manual lifting, use of hand truck, ramps, and/or carts in multi-temperature environments.
• Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspections of truck, tractor and trailer before operating vehicle.
• Adhere to all federal, state and local traffic laws while driving
• Adhere to all Company and D.O.T. mandated policies to ensure compliance of both D.O.T. and Biscuitville programs and expectations.
• Select and repeatedly lift products weighing up to fifty (50) pounds from hand- stacked products and/or shrink wrapped pallets from three compartment trailer to deliver to stores/restaurants.
• Deliver products into customer’s stores/restaurant and stage according to product temperature requirements, all frozen products in the freezer; refrigerated products in the cooler and dry products in their designated areas.
• Provide courteous, prompt and professional customer service to each location on route, and while operating vehicle.
• Maintain accurate DOT logs.
• Responsible for vehicle safety and contents
• Responsible for vehicle security and keeping vehicle clean.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Drivers must have a valid Class A CDL license for interstate commerce.
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience with a Class A-CDL.
• We are an interstate carrier, by law you must be at least 21 years of age.
• Candidates must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to operate a hand truck up and down a delivery ramp.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
• This position must pass a post-offer background, DOT physical, and drug test.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Food distribution/delivery experience.
