Schedule/Hours:
- Varied shifts based on unit needs (details to be discussed upon interview).
Qualifications:
- Current RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 18 months of recent MedSurg/Tele experience
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone)
- Proficient in IV starts, blood product administration, wound care, and caring for patients with tubes/drains
- Comfortable caring for hematology/oncology populations (no chemo administration required unless certified)
- Open to floating within facilities in the region as needed
- First-time travelers accepted
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care for a diverse population with diagnoses such as ESRD, CHF, pneumonia, diabetic complications, and more
- Manage a patient caseload of 5-6, with possible critical surge ratios
- Collaborate closely with CNAs, case managers, clinical nurse specialists, and a full interdisciplinary support team
- Utilize EPIC for documentation and cutting-edge equipment like Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell med dispensers
- Float to other designated regional units as required
