Role Overview
This role owns the execution and operation of the marketing engine that drives qualified leads into the business. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Burlington at least 3–4 business days per month. Applicants located within 100 miles of the office are expected to work on-site daily.
This is a hands-on, performance-driven role, not a brand, content, or social media position. The focus is demand generation, systems integrity, and accountability—ensuring inbound and outbound marketing activity converts into real, trackable revenue opportunities.
This role will bring Google Ads fully in-house, manage outbound demand campaigns, oversee SEO resources, and maintain clean, reliable marketing systems.
Core Responsibilities
Demand Generation Execution (Inbound & Outbound)
- Execute approved inbound and outbound demand generation initiatives
- Source and enrich contact data using Apollo.io and ZoomInfo
- Load and manage leads in the company’s AI-driven automated outreach system
- Execute multi-channel campaign sequences including:
- LinkedIn connection requests
- LinkedIn messages
- Ringless voicemail (RVM)
- Monitor engagement, responses, and deliverability
- Flag list quality, messaging, or system issues promptly
Google Ads Ownership (In-House)
- Audit and assume full ownership of the existing Google Ads account
- Transition Google Ads from external vendor to in-house management
- Build, manage, and optimize campaigns end-to-end:
- Keywords and negatives
- Budgets and bids
- Conversion tracking
- Landing page alignment
- Optimize for cost per qualified lead and lead quality
- Eliminate reliance on the external Google Ads vendor within 30–60 days
SEO Vendor / VA Management
- Manage SEO virtual assistant(s) or vendors
- Assign clear tasks, priorities, and deadlines
- Review outputs and ensure work aligns with lead generation goals
- Coordinate SEO efforts with paid search and outbound campaigns
- Hold SEO resources accountable to measurable results
Lead Intake, Routing & System Integrity
- Ensure all inbound and outbound leads are:
- Captured correctly
- Tagged by source and campaign
- Routed to the appropriate pipeline or owner
- Monitor follow-up speed and lead status
- Prevent lost, duplicated, or misrouted leads
- Maintain clean CRM pipelines, fields, forms, and automations
- Coordinate with IT on integrations when required
Reporting & Accountability
Provide a weekly operating report including:
- Leads generated by source
- Cost per lead
- Outbound response rates
- Lead status and follow-up gaps
- What improved and what broke that week
This role is accountable for data accuracy and visibility.
What This Role Is NOT
- Not a social media or content role
- Not a brand or creative position
- Not a marketing strategy or CMO role
- Not a “post and hope” marketer
This is an operations- and performance-driven role.
Requirements
IMPORTANT:
Candidates with primarily social media, content, or brand marketing backgrounds will not be a fit for this role.
- 2–5 years of experience in demand generation, marketing operations, or performance marketing
- Hands-on experience managing Google Ads accounts end-to-end
- Experience sourcing and enriching leads using Apollo.io and/or ZoomInfo
- Comfortable executing automated outbound campaigns (email, LinkedIn, RVM)
- Strong understanding of CRM workflows, lead routing, and attribution
- Data-driven, process-oriented, and highly accountable
- Able to manage vendors and virtual assistants effectively

What Success Looks Like in 90 Days
By Day 90, this role will have:
- Fully transitioned Google Ads from the external vendor to in-house
- Verified and improved conversion tracking accuracy
- Achieved cost per lead equal to or better than prior vendor performance
- Launched and stabilized outbound campaign sequences using Apollo and ZoomInfo data
- Established clean, reliable lead tagging and routing across all channels
- Delivered consistent weekly reporting leadership can trust
- Eliminated lost or untracked leads
- Reduced vendor dependency and improved visibility into marketing ROI
