Key Responsibilities of the RN - Pediatric Hematology / Oncology
- Manage central lines and administer chemotherapy
- Conduct pediatric assessments and apply critical thinking skills
- Provide care for patients with conditions such as leukemia, solid tumors, and sickle cell crisis
- Communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, phlebotomists, and hospitalists
- Ensure safety and patient-centered care within a supportive environment
Requirements of the RN - Pediatric Hematology / Oncology
- Active RN license with at least 1 year of experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology acute care
- APHON chemotherapy certification required
- BLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Strong skills in central line management and chemotherapy administration
