A Day on Our Third Shift

When the lights come up on third shift in Newton, NC (28658), you’ll be the steady hand that keeps our automotive components moving. As a Precision Production Technician, you’ll read work orders, prep materials, set up equipment, and assemble with accuracy—then verify every detail so our parts leave the line meeting strict specifications.

From first tool pick-up to final inspection, you’ll blend craftsmanship with consistency:

• Complete assembly and machining tasks aligned to documented procedures and quality standards.
• Interpret work orders to confirm dimensions, tolerances, and materials before beginning.
• Examine incoming parts and materials to catch defects or damage early.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and production machinery to build components safely and efficiently.
• Operate manufacturing equipment with care and precision to achieve target output.
• Verify that finished products meet all specs and quality requirements before release.
• Keep your station clean, orderly, and audit-ready throughout the shift.
• Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and plant regulations at all times.
• Track assembly processes and productivity to help the team hit goals.
• Escalate equipment issues or process abnormalities to the right contacts immediately.

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Experience in manufacturing or related hands-on work (preferred).
• Confidence reading and applying work orders and specifications.
• Sharp attention to detail and solid manual dexterity.
• Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and production machinery safely and effectively.
• Foundational knowledge of quality control methods.
• Strong team communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
• Capacity to lift up to 35 pounds as needed; reliable physical stamina.
