TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years with 1 year of direct Medical-Surgical experience License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS, ACLS (preferred, not required) Must-Have: Must have 2 successful contracts before applying. Must have specific Medical-Surgical experience in work history. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a cancelation. Travelers are required to work every other weekend. Floating may be required to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry areas. Frequent floating may include care for COVID patients. Unit cares primarily for stroke patients but also includes neurosurgery patients. Patient diagnoses include epilepsy, subdural hematomas, and more. Unit has a four-bed epilepsy monitoring unit. Unit uses PYXIS and EPIC for medication and charting. Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. Daily census is approximately 50 patients. Unit orientation consists of 36 hours. Must pass EKG testing prior to start. Travelers who call out for a shift are expected to make it up within the same week or at the end of their contract. All RTO must be pre-approved; weekend RTO will result in an extension of the contract to cover missed dates. Candidate must float within or near the facility per job description. Certified nursing assistants, phlebotomy, and other interdisciplinary support will be available. A total of 2 years of experience is required, including a minimum of 1 year in Medical-Surgical. This position may include care for injuries and conditions such as seizures, subdural hematomas, and traumatic brain injury. Completion of non-billable modules is expected.
