About the Hiring GroupSupport Project Staff perform a variety of operational and administrative tasks to ensure the successful execution of project goals for the Chemical Speciation Network (CSN) within the Shipping, Handling and Archiving Laboratory (SHAL). Responsibilities include sample packaging and preparation, shipping and receiving, accurate data entry, and maintaining organized logistical and archival systems. What You'll DoTeam members are responsible for preparing shipping packets in accordance with designated sampling sites and established shipping schedules. This includes generating shipping labels using UPS WorldShip software, utilizing batch import functions for large-scale shipments, and coordinating shipping containers to ensure adherence to filter shipping timelines. The role involves shipping, receiving, and processing samples from multiple locations while ensuring all samples are accurately assigned, tracked, and documented. Additional responsibilities include reviewing Chain of Custody (COC) forms and supporting documentation to verify accuracy, clearly documenting discrepancies, and utilizing internal software systems to create shipping COCs and log received samples. Team members also assist with the receipt and inspection of returned filter shipments, organize shipping containers according to group rotation, and support operational needs through data entry, temperature monitoring, laboratory organization, and other assigned tasks. What You'll NeedHigh School Diploma and a minimum of six (6) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.An acceptable equivalent combination of qualifications and experience may be considered on an individual basis.
