Givens Highland Farms, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community in Black Mountain, is hiring for a PRN Dishwasher-Utility position to help our Dining team. The primary purpose of your position is to perform service work to attain sanitary dish washing procedures and cleaning of equipment and to assure that the highest degree of quality care will be provided to our residents at all times. Our friendly and supportive dining team provides training for all new hires. The typical working hours for the Team are Mondays through Fridays 4pm-8pm, Saturdays 12pm-7:30pm, and Sundays 10am-7pm.

What you'll do:

• Ensure all dish room equipment is in good working condition
• Organize and set-up dish room area
• Assist in the assembly and completion of meals, and deliver meals to the dining areas & residents as required
• Sweep & mop area on a daily basis to maintain required sanitary standards
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

What you'll need:

• Prefer on-the-job four (4) weeks of supervised training
• Working knowledge of sanitary standards related to food handling and preparation
• Must know or have the ability to handle and operate equipment in assigned area

Compensation for this role is $17.50-$19.00 per hour based on background and experience.
