Summary:

The Laser Screed Operator is responsible for operating laser screed equipment to set up, level, and finish concrete slabs to precise grade and flatness specifications. This role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and coordination with the concrete crew to ensure high-quality, durable concrete surfaces that meet project and safety standards.

Job Duties Include:

• Operate laser screed machines to accurately place and level concrete slabs
• Read and interpret project plans, grades, elevations, and specifications
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain laser screed equipment and related tools
• Coordinate with concrete finishers, pump operators, and site supervisors
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Identify and report equipment issues, site hazards, or quality concerns
• Assist with general concrete placement and finishing tasks as required

Job Requirements:

• Experience is preferred.
• Able to pass a drug test.
• Previous experience operating laser screed equipment preferred
• Strong understanding of concrete placement
• Ability to read construction drawings and grade stakes
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Physically able to work in outdoor environments and lift heavy materials
• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, if applicable)
• 3D Understanding is a plus
