Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Aero/Defense Patrol Driver in Asheville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will help create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols and support access control procedures while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. This position requires driving as part of your patrol duties, offering an engaging opportunity to make a difference in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or access.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized personnel from entering sensitive zones.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors, providing assistance as needed while upholding security-related standards.
- Remain attentive to surroundings and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
