Director of Civil Engineering / Office Leader

THERE ARE TWO POSITIONS: Dallas, TX AND Charlotte or Raleigh in NC.

Our client, a rapidly expanding engineering firm, is seeking a visionary Director of Civil Engineering to spearhead the launch and growth of their new offices in Dallas, TX, and North Carolina (Raleigh or Charlotte). Key Responsibilities:

• Office Leadership: Establish and manage the new office, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

• Project Oversight: Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex land development projects, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.

• Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, promoting professional growth and a cohesive work environment.

• Client Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for clients, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.

• Business Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the firm’s growth in the Dallas and North Carolina markets.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Engineering (PE) license required.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects and at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in civil engineering principles, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams, with strong organizational and decision-making capabilities.

• Client Relations: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
