Bridgeworker

The ideal team member should have experience with concrete carpenter’s craftmanship in the building of the molds that retain wet concrete in the construction of foundations and other concrete structures for Bridge Construction.

Core Duties:

• Experience as a concrete carpenter/finisher
• Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
• Work on top of ladders, and bridges
• Check work along the way to ensure it is up to code and specifications.
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
• Work with prefabricated materials
• Create structures for pouring concrete.
• Erect scaffolding.
• Move and install machinery.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience as a construction carpenter for Bridge Development; Bridge construction in working concrete forming and finishing.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with jobsite supervisors and fellow team members

Education/Training/Certification:

• OSHA Supervisor Training
• Rigger
• Signal Person
• First Aid/CPR
• Forklift

Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders regularly. Work involves frequent shoveling, raking, using hand tools and handling materials in and around trenches or uneven terrain. Requires standing or walking for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
