Plating Line Process Technician

TE Plating Core Process Technology is seeking a motivated Manufacturing & Process Technician to operate our Development Plating Line along with advanced manufacturing tools and next‑generation processes. Working within the Plating CPT team, the technician will collaborate with engineers to deliver transformative manufacturing capabilities that enhance productivity and support next‑generation manufacturing initiatives.

Candidates should be comfortable with hands‑on work in manufacturing and pilot shop environments and uphold safety standards. The position is based in Winston‑Salem, NC, with minimum travel required.

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment in the plating room including the plating line and all support equipment
• Maintain the plating line including all maintenance and repairs
• Assist with modifications that include plumbing and mechanical assembly
• Make up chemistries for plating tanks
• Lab analysis of plating baths and entering results into Truechem
• Install and setup plating tooling
• Certified RCRA, DOT shipments for hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Maintain a clean area incorporating 5S skills
• Engage in safety programs (LOTO, Gemba walks, risk assessments and utilizing machine guarding)

What your background should look like

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous Plate Line Processing in Manufacutring highly preferred
• Knowledge of plating processes and production lines is preferred
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated person seeking a hands-on working environment
• Capable of performing physical duties associated with the plating room equipment
• Willing to adapt and learn to a changing environment

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $57,300 – 86,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
