Certified Respiratory Therapist Job Details
- Position Type: Locum tenens (travel CRT contract)
- Healthcare Setting: Level III Trauma Center / Teaching Hospital
- Unit: Respiratory Therapy Department
- Shift: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: May float within hospital or to sister campus as needed
- Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 call-off shifts per assignment
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Scrub Color: Solid Black or Black and White
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1720 - $1770
- Minimum 2 years of recent Certified Respiratory Therapist experience
- Active North Carolina or compact state CRT license
- Certification in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Experience providing respiratory care for adults and pediatric ICU patients
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the main Fayetteville campus
- Return staff policy: Must be away for 1 year to return as a traveler
- System allows a 2-contract limit (can only extend once, then must be away for 6 months to return)
- Advanced EKG exam required for compliance
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in a Level III Trauma Center setting
- Provide therapy and diagnostics for both adult and pediatric ICU patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float between similar units as needed to support hospital operations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
- Adhere to hospital policies, including attendance and call-off makeup requirements
- Complete orientation and required compliance modules prior to start date
