We are seeking a team-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance department, to work under the supervision of the Director of Finance.

ANTICIPATED START DATE: Immediate Hire

POSITION TYPE: Full-time

LOCATION: Office-based position in West End, NC

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the participation in preparation of monthly financial reports, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and various reconciliations/analysis projects. The successful candidate will also participate in various property management accounting functions, to include tenant billing, property tax tracking, and tenant reimbursement reconciliations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

• Experience with a variety of accounting software, preferably Quickbooks and/or Sage

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects/entities simultaneously

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Attention to accuracy and details

• Ability to read and understand technical forms and financial reports

• Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships

• Must be able to work under deadlines and with others

• Must be able to work full time at our office in West End, NC

PREFERENCES:

• Public accounting or multi-entity accounting experience is a plus

• Experience with Apple (macOS) products in a work or personal environment

• Experience with pass-through entities
