Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a full-time Practice Manager to join our Practice Management team.
Description:
The Practice Manager is responsible for the management of staff and patient care within the practices. In collaboration with the Director of Practice Management, will oversee the operations, staff, and workflows of the practices. This leader is responsible for supporting staff in their assigned roles to provide quality patient care. Providing support and training to all clinical and non-clinical staff and maintaining competency. The Practice Manager identifies, develops, and supports performance metrics that align with organizational strategic initiatives and goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Directs broad operations of a medical practice to ensure the provision of comprehensive departmental services in compliance with all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements.
- Coordinates and oversees departmental services. Continuously assesses measures and improves departmental performance through positive employee engagement activities. Inspires others with the credibility to enlist action.
- Demonstrates clinical, technical, and managerial competency. Analyze results, derive conclusions, and recommend improvement activities and priorities.
- Ensures effective plans are in place to meet goals.
- Guides staff through change by providing clear communication and utilizing change management strategies.
- Read financial data to prioritize activities that improve the financial health of the practice through responsible management of departmental resources.
- Effectively communicates throughout the organization and externally to patients and other stakeholders.
- Provides leadership to direct reports through effective hiring, comprehensive department orientation, training, mentoring, and coaching.
- Responds to and resolves patient complaints.
- Transitions between practices and performs other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina, LPN or Certified Medical Assistant required.
- Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred or BSN.
- BLS certification required.
- Must have previous physician office leadership experience.
- Competent in EKG testing, blood draws and injections.
- Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of Electronic Medical Record documentation in accordance with Meaningful Use objectives.
- Must be dependable, flexible and committed to providing outstanding patient care.
Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. May work other hours for the effective operation of department.
