Product Lifecycle Management Internship

As an intern with the Electrification and Automation (EA) division of Siemens Smart Infrastructure , you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow - all within a collaborative, impact-driven environment .
We are looking for qualified candidates to join our Product Lifecycle Management Internship beginning in May or June 2026. This position will be based at our Wendell, North Carolina office location.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Converting requirements for an AI-based product knowledge tool into a structured project plan.
- Identifying and refining methods to link existing product information to an AI-based knowledge base.
- Loading data and conducting test runs with potential system users.
- Creating a process to maintain up-to-date information within the knowledge base.
- Supporting data cleanup and working with stakeholders to identify and collect data sources.
- Executing and managing the project end-to-end to deliver a working knowledge base tool.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering Management, Business Analytics, Data Science, or Computer Science. Candidates must not graduate prior to September 2026.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) processes.
- Knowledge of AI tools and language models.
- Data analysis experience.
- Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing to document processes and system usage.
- Project management skills, including planning, executing, and managing project-based work.
