2nd Shift CNC Supervisor

We are seeking a hands-on leader to oversee our night shift CNC machining operations. You will drive production goals, mentor a team of machinists, and ensure high quality and safety standards are met on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities

• Supervision: Lead daily operations, including setup, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Mentorship: Train and develop CNC machinists to ensure peak performance.
• Safety & 5S: Maintain an organized, safe workplace aligned with 5S initiatives.
• Efficiency: Monitor schedules and implement process improvements to reduce waste.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of CNC machining (milling/turning) with 2+ years in a lead/supervisory role.
• Technical: Proficient in blueprint reading, G-code, and precision measuring tools.
• Physical: Ability to walk the factory floor for 10-hour shifts and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

This position requires the following essential knowledge, skills and abilities in order to satisfactorily fulfill the role:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or manufacturing preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools,
• strong understanding of machining operations including milling and turning.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and standard manufacturing software tools.

• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with CNC programming (e.g., G-code, Mastercam, etc.).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production tracking software.
• Knowledge of ISO or other quality management systems.

The essential functions of this role include:
