Position Summary The Millwright / Stationary Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of stationary industrial equipment and mechanical systems within the facility. The primary responsibility of this role is to keep bagging operations running efficiently by repairing equipment failures, including electrical issues, and completing scheduled preventive maintenance. This role also supports the repair and maintenance of other stationary equipment throughout the yard, including stacking conveyors, screens, grinders, and the color machine. Additionally, the technician assists with the maintenance and repair of facility buildings and other equipment as needed. This role ensures all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and maintaining the overall reliability of equipment used in processing, composting, and material handling operations. The technician will work closely with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to support continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Maintain bagging operations by troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures, including electrical and mechanical systems. Utilize knowledge of industrial controls, automation systems, and PLCs to diagnose equipment issues and support efficient operation of bagging equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance on bagging equipment to ensure reliability and minimize unplanned downtime. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stationary industrial equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and other production machinery. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement effective repair solutions in a timely manner. Repair and maintain other stationary yard equipment, including stacking conveyors, screens, grinders, and color processing equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Align, level, and calibrate machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Perform welding, fabrication, and basic machining as needed. Inspect equipment regularly and identify potential issues before failures occur. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, inspection reports, and documentation. Assist with maintenance and repair of facility buildings and other equipment as needed. Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to improve equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Bilingual communication skills are a plus to support effective teamwork and communication across the facility.
