Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Basic Med/Tele skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, central line management, etc.

Unit Details: - Patient types/common diagnoses: total joint replacements, colon resection, gallbladder, appendectomy, amputations, medical overflow, hip fractures, SBO, NG tubes. - RN ratios: Days 1:4-6; Nights 1:5-6 — in surge staffing could see ratios of up to 1:7-8. - Department support includes CNA for vital signs, baths, mobility, turning, blood sugars; receptionist/HUC for rounds and secretary duties; charge nurse as a resource to assist with all nursing care; phlebotomy other than nurse draws; IV/VAT team; RT 24/7; hospitalist 24/7; intensivist 24/7; telemetry monitoring tech. - Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Call: Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Special Requests: - RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays — must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Floating Requirements: - Floating within region and scope of practice. - Will be required to float per region needs to Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH), as needed, within scope of practice.

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
