We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Americas Finance team. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take on tasks with minimal oversight. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial support role, contributing to the financial health and strategic decision-making of our rapidly growing company. You will be responsible for preparing financial accruals, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, and developing into a trusted business partner for our Commercial Teams. Your contributions will help ensure that financial objectives are met and optimal results are delivered. Role expectationsFinancial Accruals:
- Prepare month-end and quarter-end close journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other finance team members to streamline accrual processes and improve efficiency.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets, working closely with department heads to gather necessary information.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting activities, ensuring they reflect current business conditions and trends.
- Conduct trend analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to management.
- Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting variances and recommending adjustments as needed.
Business Partnership:
- Develop into a trusted business partner, supporting Commercial Teams to meet financial objectives and deliver optimal results.
- Provide financial guidance and support to commercial teams, helping them understand the financial implications of their decisions.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment between financial goals and business strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
- 4 - 6 years of relevant Finance experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field or equivalent experience
- An ambitious individual with a strong desire to take the initiative and drive results.
- Basic understanding of accrual management, budgeting, and forecasting, and their impacts on financial statements.
- Eagerness to develop analytical skills and business acumen.
- Ability to excel in a collaborative working environment and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Comfortable with dealing with large volumes of data
- Ability to communicate clearly and support project presentations
Complementary Skills
- Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in data analysis and visualization
- Process Improvement: Strong ability to identify inefficiencies, implement solutions, and optimize workflows for enhanced productivity.
- Data Visualization Tools: Power BI & SQL a plus
- Presentation Skills: Strong storytelling with data, advanced presentation software proficiency, public speaking, and workshop facilitation.
If provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate’s pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically.
For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S.
Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
