Consulting Arborist ( in Training )
Compensation:
$35 - 40 / hour, commensurate with experience.
30 - 40 hours a week.
Job Summary:
We are a company that prides itself on providing solid, practical advice tailored to the goals of each client. When tree work needs to be done, we execute with experienced, conscientious teams of folks passionate about trees & tree care. The Consulting Arborist role is ideal for someone who gets excited about connecting with people and creating customized tree care plans for their residential and commercial properties.
This position is the first step in our Consulting Arborist training program. You’ll work closely with our lead consultants to learn how we assess tree care needs, develop thoughtful service recommendations, and support our crews in delivering high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Prior to any tree work being performed, assist with on-site tree assessments to diagnose issues and recommend services such as pruning, removals, cabling, and plant health care treatments.
- Draft and develop detailed proposals and estimates tailored to client needs and industry best practices.
- Work closely with the office and field crews to ensure seamless service execution.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Stay updated on industry trends, safety standards, and best practices in arboriculture.
- Participate in community outreach and marketing efforts to promote the company’s services.

- Strong communication and customer service skills
- ISA Certified Arborist credential (or working towards it)
- ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification or the ability to obtain
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently while simultaneously understanding how you fit into the bigger picture.
- 2+ years of tree care industry experience (field or consulting)
- Prior sales experience in arboriculture, landscaping, or a related field
- Familiarity with Jobber, or any similar customer relationship management software.
