Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to lead the expansion of our organization in this new growth market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in loan origination, business development, and team management. As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving profitability while managing risks effectively.

Duties

• Originate and manage a pipeline of commercial mortgage transactions, ranging from $1M to $100M+
• Identify and cultivate new client relationships through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach
• Assess borrower needs and develop customized financing solutions (bridge, CMBS, life co, SBA, agency, etc.)
• Package and present loan requests to capital sources with thorough underwriting and analysis
• Coordinate the loan process from initial quote through closing, collaborating with lenders, legal counsel, and third-party vendors
• Stay up to date on commercial lending guidelines, market trends, and capital source appetite
• Maintain accurate records and reporting of deals, contacts, and pipeline activity
• Represent the firm professionally at industry events and client meetings
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring staff and promoting professional development.
• Recruit, manage, and develop a team of loan originators based in the Dallas market

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a Managing Director or similar position.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial mortgage origination or capital markets
• Proven track record of closed transactions and active borrower/lender relationships
• Deep understanding of real estate finance, loan structuring, and underwriting fundamentals
• Ability to source, evaluate, and structure deals across asset classes (multifamily, retail, office, industrial, etc.)
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter mentality with a commitment to excellence and integrity
• Exceptional leadership abilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
