Job Summary
Leicester Flooring is opening a new location in Arden NC, and we are seeking a sharp-minded and motivated Sales Manager to lead, advise and motivate sales associates while building a high-performance sales team. In this role, objectives include representing the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of floor coverings. Candidate will be willing to research and keep up with consumers needs to be able to identify solutions for their unique flooring needs. Also, candidate should be able to achieve objectives by planning thouroghly, and by making sure the sales team obtains sales goals. We need a dynamic leader who can generate sales leads and establish client relationships that are long lasting. Also, to ensure the sales team uses effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives. Must be able to provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for sales, particularly in high-end retail environments. You will engage with customers to understand their needs, and utilize your interpersonal and organizational skills to manage our new location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sales team stays on track and motivated to obtain sales goals.
• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
• Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Manage cash handling and POS transactions accurately
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store performance
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Stay informed about product offerings, promotions, and industry trends

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or inside/outside sales is preferred with management experience
• Knowledge of renovation, construction, or interior design concepts is beneficial
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage accounts effectively
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

For many years Leicester Flooring was a “mom and pop” operation, with Mrs. Snelson handling sales in the office while her husband supervised installation.
