POSITION SUMMARY:
The Linen Attendant is responsible for the ongoing process of sorting, laundering, folding, and bundling linens to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards. This role includes regular trips to the laundromat and daytime laundry tasks, with work typically available Monday through Friday, especially during the busy summer season.
Overnight work is not required. We offer flexible scheduling and encourage team members to communicate their preferred and unavailable hours. Our goal is to create a work schedule that fits both the needs of the business and the individual. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently to manage a steady flow of laundry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sort and Organize Dirty Linens
- Separate sheets from towels to prepare for laundering.
Launder Linens Overnight
- Conduct overnight visits to laundromat facilities.
- Wash linens according to company standards.
Fold and Prepare Linens Neatly
- Ensure all items are folded with care and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and order during folding.
Bundle Linens Accurately
- Create clearly labeled sheet and towel bundles.
- Double-check bundles for correct counts and presentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or similar role is a plus
- Ability to lift, carry, and move bundles of linens (up to 30 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail for sorting, folding, and bundling
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively
- Willingness to follow safety and hygiene guidelines
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Pay Range: $15.00 - $17.00 and hour based on experience
