Account Executive / Business Development
Advanced Exterior Systems – The premier architectural cladding and prefabrication specialist in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US.

The Account Executive (AE) plays a critical role in customer engagement, sales strategy, new product promotion and internal team support to drive project success and client satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Support estimators and project managers in customer interactions.
- Conduct regular job site visits and customer face / face interactions to maintain and strengthen relationships.
- Mediate conflicts professionally and provide technical consultation on projects.
- Conduct AIA CE Credit presentations for Architectural Firms.
- Identify and develop key relationships (AAA, A, B tiers); strive to elevate customer status.
- Maintain consistent and strategic contact with clients (e.g., every 3 weeks or as needed).
- Always present professionally, with strong etiquette and responsiveness.
Account Intelligence & Targeting
- Create and maintain detailed customer org charts (Lucid chart).
- Identify new target accounts and build relationship plans and strategies.
- Maintain and update the branch Target Job List (TJL) to support forecasting and sales strategy.
- Leverage regional sources like Business Journals and industry groups (ABC, AGC, CMAA) for upcoming opportunities.
Strategic Project Targeting
- Collaborate with COO to identify “must-have” projects.
- Gather intelligence on key project details: competitors, bid dates, scope, decision-makers, schedules, and budgets.
- Align entertainment efforts with project targets to build deeper connections.
Event & Entertainment Strategy
- Plan and host customer entertainment events throughout the year:
- Concerts
- Dinners
- Breakfast / Lunch and Learns
- Local relationship building trips / adventures
- Focus on high-value attendees: executives, buyers, influencers, field supers, and emerging leaders.
- Support event coordination, host duties, and optimize ROI through strategic guest targeting.
Internal Collaboration & Support
- Share key intel with COO, Estimators, Operations, and PMs.
- Respond to technical questions within AE's capability; escalate others as needed to AES Sr. Leadership.
- Ensure seamless communication between sales and operations teams to align goals and expectations.
Position Requirements
Charisma, Professionalism, Positive Energy, Relentless Follow Up Skills, Relationship Building Excellence, Ability to develop industry expertise relating to our products and services.
The ability to provide weekly reporting on relationship and project advancement.
This is not a remote position and will require travel within the Mid – Atlantic Region. Va., NC and SC.
