RF Order Picker and Material Handling Technician
Do you navigate a cherry picker with confidence?
Imagine starting your day with a prioritized pick list, your RF hand‑held scanner synced, and your forklift pre‑checked. You move through aisles, selecting items from designated locations by hand and with high‑reach equipment, then stage completed orders exactly where they belong. When a truck hits the dock, you switch gears—loading or unloading efficiently and documenting accurately.
Hours and pay: Monday–Friday, $17–$19 per hour (based on experience).
Core responsibilities
- Operate a variety of forklifts (including cherry picker/high‑reach) and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick customer orders correctly and on time using both manual methods and forklifts.
- Perform shipping/receiving and hands‑on GL dock work; load and unload trucks accurately.
- Utilize RF scanners, totes, rolling carts, pallets, and pallet jacks to process orders.
- Read work instructions, count precisely, and support inventory control activities.
- Transport completed orders to the designated staging area.
- Collaborate with your supervisor and maintain strong attention to detail.
What it takes
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience operating multiple forklift types.
- 2+ years of order picking in a fast‑paced warehouse.
- Basic math proficiency; proven accuracy in reading and counting.
- Strong attention to detail and sound analytical skills.
- Team player who performs well in a high‑tempo environment.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for the full shift.
- Forklift license/certification.
