Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.Role Purpose:
Be part of a dynamic team where you can apply your knowledge and experience to solve complex problems to improve manufacturing cost & capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide problem solving-troubleshooting support to production operations and for plant equipment.
- Interface with operators, team leaders and peers to develop and implement process, equipment or safety improvements.
- Work with engineering to develop equipment specifications/requirements and organize meetings to review proposals and quotes prior to purchasing.
- Develop maintenance and operator training and troubleshooting documentation.
- Document process procedures and support master trainers with the training on new equipment.
- Provide processing support during product development, develop plans as to how the equipment/processes will be employed into production and ensure that the new technology is repeatable in production environment.
Required Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent.
- 2-7 years manufacturing or technical environment experience.
- Desire to learn and technically curious.
- Strong technical/mechanical understanding.
- Able to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions.
- Results oriented and high commitment.
- The ability to learn new technology and processes quickly.
- Excel knowledge.
Desired Qualifications:
- 2 year technical degree preferred.
- Equipment or process troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems.
- Design software knowledge (Solidworks, CAD, others).
- TwinCat or Allen Bradley PLC experience a plus.
- 3D printing or rapid prototyping experience.
- Data analysis skills.
- Ability to use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, and rulers).
Work Hours:
M-F 8am-5pm
Periodic off-hours (on-call) coverage

The range for this position is $58,207.00- $113,503.00 USD assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
