• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Contract)
• Start Date: August 24, 2025
• End Date: November 23, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,570 - $1,610

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current North Carolina Respiratory Therapist license (or eligibility)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RRT experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Must reside at least 60 miles from Sanford, NC to qualify as a travel RRT
• All required certifications must be obtained before the start date

RRT Job Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients in acute and critical care hospital settings
• Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments, including ventilator management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures, such as arterial blood gas analysis and airway management
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures and equipment usage
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
