CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER - (North Carolina- On-site)
COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Our client is an on-your-lot custom home builder operating primarily in North Carolina and South Carolina. They specialize in constructing stick-built homes—built entirely on the homeowner’s land rather than being factory-prefabricated—for clients who either already own land or are looking to purchase a lot.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Improve company-wide operations workflows and processes.
- Implement robust project management frameworks and technology solutions.
- Develop and execute dynamic operations strategies for growth and profitability.
- Set KPI’s, build and lead high-performing teams with a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Develop strategic talent acquisition and sales team training programs.
- Manage P&L, refine sales strategies, and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7–10 years of operational leadership experience in a fast-paced, consumer-facing (B2C) business, ideally in homebuilding, construction or subcontracting industries.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams within the construction or homebuilding industry, including developing and implementing policies, establishing KPIs, and ensuring effective execution.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site at the North Carolina headquarters, with occasional travel to regional offices and residential construction sites as required.
- Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset, with a proven ability to grow with a fast-paced, scaling construction-focused organization.
