MRI Technologist - Mobile

Overview:

Are you an experienced MRI Technologist looking for a unique opportunity to take your skills on the road? WakeMed is launching a brand-new  Mobile MRI Team , and we’re looking for passionate professionals to help us deliver high-quality imaging care across our community.

 

As part of this dynamic team, you’ll operate our  WakeMed-owned mobile MRI unit , traveling locally to support multiple outpatient sites and  Healthplex locations - RMP, Garner, Brier Creek, Wendell, Apex . You’ll perform a wide range of exams including brain, spine, MSK, abdomen, pelvis, and breast imaging — all under the direct order of a physician and in alignment with our standard operating procedures.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Deliver timely, professional, and safe patient care
• Travel locally between designated WakeMed sites
• Perform IV starts confidently and independently
• Collaborate with a supportive team that values excellence and compassion

Hiring date expectations:

• External candidates - on or before February 2026
• Internal candidates - February 2026

• Registered Technologist in Radiography  and  Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• OR Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine Technology  and  Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist  and  Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Education: Accredited Program Radiologic Technology Required - Or Accredited Program Nuclear Medicine Required Experience: 1 Year Clinical - Radiology Required
