Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Government Facility Patrol - Multiple Shifts in Tabor City, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .
As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. In this patrol armed position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Your responsibilities will include monitoring for unusual activity, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and professionalism. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents within the government facility.
- Follow all protocols for handling and carrying firearms in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
- An active armed guard card or license is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
