The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of accounting processes, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient management of funding and audits. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in nonprofit and fund accounting, along with excellent organizational and analytical skills. Responsibilities: - Supervise daily financial operations, including accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and funding requirements. - Oversee audits and prepare necessary documentation to support financial reviews. - Manage month-end closing processes and ensure timely financial reporting. - Handle grant accounting and monitor the proper allocation of funds. - Prepare and file tax forms, including Form 990, in adherence to nonprofit tax regulations. - Collaborate with government funding agencies to maintain compliance and accurate reporting. - Utilize accounting software and payroll systems to streamline financial procedures. - Develop and maintain comprehensive financial policies and procedures for the organization. - Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering efficiency and accuracy. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business management. - 5+ Years of experience in accounting, finance, or business management. - Familiarity with grant accounting and government funding processes. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software. - Strong knowledge of nonprofit and fund accounting principles. - Supervisory experience.
