Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Mobile Driver in Polkton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to reduce security-related incidents through strong presence and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, and you will respond to activity across the site, document observations, and support staff and visitors with professional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Control access at designated points by verifying identification and authorizations, managing visitor processing, and screening for prohibited items consistent with post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders as directed.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and maintain readiness of assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
