Position Overview

Supervise maintenance crews in all landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, pruning, and spraying. Lead by example working hands-on WITH your team while ensuring projects are completed with excellence, pride, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Crew Supervision:

• Supervise and manage landscape maintenance crews of 2-4 professionals
• Ensure all landscape maintenance work is executed properly and on schedule
• Train team members on best practices, safety protocols, and equipment operation
• Foster supportive, collaborative team environment

Technical Operations:

• Oversee all landscape maintenance activities: mowing, trimming, pruning, spraying
• Ensure work orders are carried out correctly and in timely manner
• Problem-solve quickly and efficiently on job sites
• Maintain equipment and enforce safety compliance
• Quality control on all maintenance projects

Client & Project Management:

• Communicate professionally with customers on-site
• Address customer concerns as opportunities for improvement and loyalty building
• Follow up promptly with project managers on issue resolution
• Use basic technology and devices for daily task completion
• Document project progress and crew performance

Requirements

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 1 year landscape maintenance experience (crew leadership preferred)
• Team supervision and management experience
• Knowledge of turf care, plant healthcare, and maintenance equipment operation
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Customer service excellence mindset
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Licensing & Background:

• Valid NC Driver's License (clean driving record required)
• Must pass drug screen and background check
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Stand, walk, and perform physical labor 8+ hours daily
• Operate landscape maintenance equipment safely
