Work Location: In Person

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Friday reserved for DWI services, assessments, compliance, documentation, referral development, or flex time as needed

Pay:

  • Base Pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour.
  • Service Pay: $38.00–$45.00 per hour for direct clinical services.
  • Estimated Annual Earnings: $50,000–$60,000 annually at approximately 30 hours per week, with opportunity for increased earnings as the program grows .

About the Role

TSG Behavioral Health & Community Services is seeking an experienced and organized Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) to help lead and strengthen our SAIOP, SACOT, DWI, and assessment services .

This role combines program leadership, compliance oversight, staff support, documentation review, direct clinical services, and program growth support . The ideal candidate is clinically strong, dependable, and able to help us maintain quality services while building a stable and sustainable substance use program.

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed clinician who wants to play a leadership role while remaining involved in direct client care.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership, Stability & Growth:

  • Help oversee day-to-day operations of SAIOP, SACOT, and DWI services.
  • Maintain the required licensed on-site presence for SAIOP and SACOT services.
  • Support admissions, retention, and program continuity.
  • Help strengthen census and support overall program sustainability.
  • Assist with workflow improvement, service structure, and program development.

Clinical Oversight & Staff Support:

  • Provide support, guidance, and regular check-ins with program staff.
  • Help train and onboard staff on documentation standards, workflow, and program expectations.
  • Promote ethical care, professionalism, accountability, and client safety.
  • Assist staff with clinical documentation correction and service planning when needed.

Direct Clinical Services:

  • Facilitate SAIOP and SACOT groups as needed.
  • Provide individual or crisis sessions as assigned.
  • Conduct DWI assessments and support DWI education/treatment services.
  • Complete or assist with Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (CCAs) , reassessments, and supplemental/addendum assessments.
  • Step in as needed to help maintain service continuity.

Documentation, Compliance & Audit Readiness:

  • Review documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Assist with treatment plans, service orders, reauthorizations, continued stay reviews, and discharges.
  • Help ensure alignment across assessments, notes, PCPs, and discharge documentation.
  • Support chart audits, corrective action, incident follow-up, and audit readiness.

DWI & Assessment Support:

  • Conduct or support DWI assessments and related documentation.
  • Assist with timely completion of required assessment paperwork.
  • Help with clinical addendums, supplemental assessments, and updates needed for admissions, service continuation, or chart alignment.
  • Support client continuity and documentation closeout during staff transitions.

Qualifications:

  • Active full LCAS license in North Carolina required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in substance use treatment required.
  • Experience with SAIOP, SACOT, and/or outpatient substance use services required.
  • Experience with DWI services, DWI assessments, or related documentation strongly preferred.
  • Experience completing or reviewing CCAs, reassessments, and supplemental/addendum assessments strongly preferred.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards, program compliance, and substance use treatment best practices.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in person in Charlotte, NC.

Compensation Structure
This role is designed to fairly compensate both leadership responsibilities and direct clinical service delivery.

  • Base Pay ($30–$35/hr): supervision, compliance, staff support, documentation oversight, outreach, and administrative duties
  • Service Pay ($38–$45/hr): groups, individual sessions, DWI services, CCAs, supplemental/addendum assessments, and other direct clinical work
  • Higher-end service rates are generally associated with advanced assessment work and higher-level clinical responsibilities
