Travel RN Job Details – Fayetteville, NC

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1660 - $1700 per week
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Registered Nurse)
• Healthcare Facility: Long Term Acute Care Hospital
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (4th Floor)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00) per week
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted shifts guaranteed after facility call-off policy is met
• EMR System: Epic
• Scrub Colors: Royal blue and white
• Patient Population: Adult patients
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state (required for North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Long-term acute care (LTAC) experience preferred
• Ability to float within scope to support facility needs
• Must pass advanced EKG exam if required
• Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
• Return staff must have a minimum 1-year gap since last assignment

Key Responsibilities for Med/Surg Telemetry Travel Nurse

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with complex medical and surgical needs
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), and perform wound care management
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and arterial lines
• Administer blood products, IV medications, and manage feeding tubes, tracheostomies, and ventilated patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Float between similar units as needed to support hospital operations
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Complete orientation and required modules prior to assignment start
