Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Onsite IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Operational Support Systems (OSS) to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our telecommunications services. This role involves working closely with engineering teams and clients to provide exceptional service and support.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain OSS applications and related systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance OSS functionality and integrate new technologies.
- Perform routine system upgrades, patches, and backups.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients.
- Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps, solutions, and maintenance records.
- Assist in the development of OSS-related processes and procedures.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in OSS technologies
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in OSS, network management, or a related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems and software.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Familiarity with scripting languages and database management is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with specific OSS tools and applications (e.g., fault management, performance management).
- Certifications in networking or telecommunications (e.g., CCNA, ITIL).
- Understanding of network protocols and standards.
