CNC Laser Cutting Technician

Pay: $18/hour | 1st & 2nd Shifts Available

Step into a full-time, temp-to-hire role with room to advance in Charlotte, NC. As a CNC Laser Cutting Technician with Malone Staffing, you’ll keep precision production moving by setting up, running, and fine-tuning laser cutting equipment to deliver high-quality parts to customer specifications.

A day in the life

Start your shift by reviewing routers and production documents. You’ll complete a careful setup, perform a first-piece inspection, and dial in machine parameters. As orders run, you’ll monitor quality, make adjustments, and record production data. You’ll assist with changeovers, support preventative maintenance, and help teammates learn best practices—all while keeping safety and housekeeping at the forefront.

Shifts Available

• 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Role overview

Operate laser cutting equipment, perform basic programming and quality checks, and support maintenance and changeovers to meet exacting standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

What you’ll do

• Set up and operate laser equipment efficiently and safely
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to verify quality
• Tweak machine settings to maintain consistent results
• Accurately document production and quality data
• Assist in training team members on procedures
• Support preventative maintenance and report equipment issues
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures
• Collaborate with the team and lend a hand where needed

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read technical drawings, routers, and production documents
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
• Comfort with basic math and measurement tools
• Reliable adherence to safety protocols and responsible equipment operation

You should be proficient in
