This is a hybrid opportunity based in Charlotte, NC, supporting high-visibility risk and regulatory technology initiatives. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, complex banking platforms, and enterprise-level transformation work across business and technology groups.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Lead delivery of risk and regulatory technology initiatives by managing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications.
- Partner with business users to gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements for regulatory and risk-related systems.
- Coordinate across developers, QA teams, SMEs, business stakeholders, and senior management to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory objectives.
- Support UAT, training, rollout, change management, and post-production support activities.
- Conduct gap analysis, root cause analysis, current-state/future-state assessments, and business process reviews to define effective solutions.
- Translate complex financial, technical, and regulatory concepts into clear project documentation, functional requirements, and executive updates.
- Track project risks, open issues, action plans, and delivery milestones while ensuring accountability across workstreams.
- Support reporting, documentation, data management, and control-related initiatives within commercial and investment banking environments.
Are you an experienced Risk & Regulatory Technology Project Manager ready to make an impact?
- 10+ years of professional experience within large financial institutions, preferably supporting risk, regulatory, or banking technology initiatives.
- Strong hands-on experience delivering regulatory initiatives such as CCAR, FRTB, or similar risk/regulatory programs.
- Solid understanding of credit risk, financial instruments, market data, trading systems, risk governance, regulatory reporting, and financial operations.
- Proven ability to gather requirements, create functional documentation, manage UAT, and support post-production activities.
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, including developers, QA, SMEs, managers, and executives.
- Strong project management background using Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid delivery approaches.
- Proficiency with Jira, MS Project, Confluence, ServiceNow, Visio, Excel, or similar project management and collaboration tools.
- SQL proficiency required; Databricks experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, multitasking, and follow-through skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- BA/BS degree required.
