A leading dealership in South East Carolina is looking for an Import Service Technician / Mechanic to start immediately and begin a great career with us. As an Automotive Technician, you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and a good problem solver.

Responsibilities – Import Service Technician:

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Mopar standards
• Identify/diagnose problem(s)and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
• Provide labor and time estimates for automotive repairs
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions in order to stay current with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record results so necessary repairs can be made

Qualifications/Requirements – Import Service Technician:

• Experience in auto service OR recent completion of automotive tech/trade school
• Import Certification preferred
• Maintain an organized neat and safe bay.
• Ability to install parts which include shock absorbers and exhaust systems.
• Any ASE certifications and/or a tech school degree is a big plus, but not required.
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Working knowledge of shop equipment (such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, A/C equipment, etc.)
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
