Value Stream Production Leader – Manufacturing Operations

Location: Alamance, NC

A day in this role

You arrive on the floor with a clear plan for people, materials, and machines. You align team leaders and operators on safety, quality, and output goals, then walk the value stream to verify that standards are followed and obstacles are surfaced early. Throughout the day, you adjust production plans, coach your team, coordinate with maintenance, engineering, planning, and quality, and remove barriers so the line runs smoothly and safely.

What you’ll tackle

• Oversee daily plant operations and ensure adherence to established systems and standard work.
• Build daily and weekly production schedules; allocate people, equipment, and materials to meet demand.
• Coach, motivate, and guide team members and leaders to achieve business targets.
• Evaluate and refine manufacturing processes and methods across the value stream.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on every shift.
• Champion quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
• Manage shift schedules, approve overtime, and balance resources to optimize throughput.
• Lead performance management and develop team capabilities.
• Partner closely with maintenance, engineering, planning, and quality to resolve issues quickly.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years leading teams in automotive production or manufacturing operations.
• Proven leadership presence with clear, effective communication.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts as business needs require.
