Senior Managing Director - Head of Asset Backed Securitization

The Sr. Managing Director Head of Asset Based Securitization (ABS) Capital Markets delivers expertise and advice to existing and potential clients on structuring and executing ABS transactions in the capital markets. They will work closely with Corporate Bankers (RMs) and our Lender Finance and warehouse lending team to originate client opportunities. In addition, they will manage the structuring resources to oversee execution, including partnering with Fixed Income Sales & Trading colleagues for distribution. The Senior MD will lead strategy discussions and staffing for the team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partners with banking teams to originate and execute ABS transaction; build C-suite relationships and drive lead‑managed outcomes
- Oversee transaction structuring, pricing and distribution of securitization transaction across multiple asset classes (i.e. auto loans, credit cards, receivables and film or music rights)
- Partner with Fixed Income Sales & Trading to optimize investor distribution and pricing.
- Directs the implementation and supervision of policies and procedures, delivers client materials, and guides the team’s activities
- Analyze market and industry data to inform decisions
- Develop junior talent and train colleagues on ABS products
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of investment banking / corporate finance experience in targeted industry
- FINRA Series 79, 24 & 63 licenses or obtain within 90‑days
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Strong industry and regulatory knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Progressive thinker and problem solver; ability to manage ambiguity and complexity
Exempt Status: Yes (Not eligible for overtime pay)
