Production Operator/Machine Operator

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor the automated foam system on the production line.
• Set up, adjust, and monitor machine settings to maintain production efficiency.
• Complete daily production and scrap reports accurately.
• Record machine settings, foam density, temperature checks, and production data.
• Perform chemical calibration to maintain process specifications.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, diagrams, and production schedules.
• Perform visual quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
• Coordinate workflow with team members to maintain production flow.
• Communicate production status, quality concerns, and equipment issues to supervisors.
• Operate forklifts, power pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and daily checklists.
• Follow OSHA, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), ISO, PPE, and 5S standards.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality and safety.
• Work overtime as required and perform other assigned duties.

Skills:

• Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate automated production equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic math, including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to compare measurements with specifications to verify product quality.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt to changing production demands.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Education/Experience:

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate automated production equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
