Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1830 - $1880 per week

ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel Nursing)
• Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 – North Carolina healthcare jobs
• Facility: Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center, teaching hospital
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
• Patient Ratio: 1:2-3
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Colors: Royal blue and white
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 shift call-offs per 13-week assignment

ICU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred)
• Must pass EKG exam (no exceptions)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR charting
• Ability to float within scope to similar units as needed
• Local candidates not accepted within a 50-mile radius

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Manage patient ratios of 1:2-3, ensuring patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes
• Perform advanced ICU procedures: arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal, central/PICC line care, ventilator management, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, emergency medication administration, and more
• Interpret dysrhythmias and obtain 12-lead EKGs
• Administer blood products and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including pharmacy, phlebotomy, IV teams, and unit secretaries
• Float between similar ICU units as required
• Participate in weekend coverage every other weekend
• Complete all required orientation and training modules prior to assignment start
