Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Welcome Desk in Lexington, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal at a front desk post where you will welcome employees and visitors, support access control and visitor check-in, and help maintain a professional, security-related presence at this location. You will monitor lobby activity, manage logs and communications, and respond to questions and concerns with a customer-first approach. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify identification, issue visitor credentials, and maintain sign-in and access logs in accordance with site guidelines.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and communication systems from the front desk and report irregular activity per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Answer and route incoming calls, receive deliveries, document key events, and complete required reports and shift handoffs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
