Pastor

West Lumberton Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist congregation in Lumberton, NC, prayerfully seeks a Pastor
to shepherd our church family and lead us in fulfilling the Great Commission through preaching, teaching,
worship, service, and discipleship. We are open to considering both full-time and bi-vocational candidates.
Responsibilities:
 Preach and teach during scheduled services (Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday night).
 Lead the church in spiritual growth, prayer, discipleship, and outreach.
 Provide pastoral care and visitation for members and the community.
 Partner with church leadership to encourage unity, growth, and faithful stewardship.
 Model a Christ-centered life and lead in alignment with Southern Baptist doctrine and mission.
Position Options:
Full-Time Pastor: Salary commensurate with education and experience; three (3) weeks paid vacation.
Bi-Vocational Pastor: Up to 20 hours per week, inclusive of the three weekly services, visitation, and pastoral
care; salary commensurate with education and experience; three (3) weeks paid vacation.
Qualifications:
 Clear calling to pastoral ministry and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
 Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
 Strong preaching, teaching, and leadership skills.
 Ability to connect across generations with humility, integrity, and compassion.
 Seminary training and pastoral experience preferred (not required).
Compensation:
Salary based on employment status (full-time or bi-vocational), education, and experience.
Three (3) weeks paid vacation annually.
