We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Professional Engineer specializing in Medium Voltage System Design to join our dynamic team. The engineer selected for this position will:
- Lead and execute medium voltage system design projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Conduct feasibility studies, load flow analyses, short circuit analyses, and voltage drop calculations to determine optimal system configurations.
- Develop comprehensive engineering designs, including the selection and specification of equipment such as transformers, switchgear, cables, and protective devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical designers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure the seamless integration of medium voltage systems into larger projects.
Requirements:
- 6-10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Registered Professional Engineer in NC or able to obtain reciprocity within three months of the start date.
- Field knowledge of medium and low voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with familiarity in system modeling software (e.g., ETAP, SKM), and knowledge of sustainable design practices.
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain a security clearance.
Desirable:
- Prior consulting experience, especially in federal government design projects, is preferred.
- Experience in building system design is a plus.
