PLC Controls Engineer

A growing industrial automation and robotics company is looking to hire a Controls Engineer. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial processes and equipment. There is no overnight travel involved!

Responsibilities:

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
• Develop and integrate Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
• Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and startup of control systems at client sites or in-house facilities.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients to define project requirements and specifications.
• Optimize control systems for performance, safety, and energy efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in controls engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., ladder logic, structured text), HMI/SCADA development OR Fanuc systems.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
